XCP-ng step by step making disk of virtual machine bigger follow-up using LVM
It happens running out of disk space. Let's do something about it.
First get a grasp of the situation where you are in. Do you need to keep the VM running, or can you restart the system?
I am going to make the existing VDI bigger, this means I will have to shut down the VM. Remember, once the disk made bigger, you can not make it smaller using Xen Orchestra. If you don't have the means to reboot, create another disk and do the same thing with the added disk has done with the added disk space.
Once this done and the system started, I will have to create a partition. Create a Physical volume with the added partition. Next adding this to the Volume Group then add extend the LVM group and volume we want to be bigger followed by a growth of the filing system used.
